uh oh - too many lbs...

so the inevitable happened - i got a lecture from my doctor =( after the 3rd straight month of gaining 6 pounds, my doctor finally inquired about my diet and exercise routine. well, obviously, i am not watching what i eat and there is no exercise routine! so she suggested i only eat 2 servings of fruit a day and cut down on my grains. oh yes, cut down on my sweets as well! she also encouraged walking so s and i will be doing that in the evenings now.

so my goal for my next appointment is to only gain 2 lbs! wish me luck.

baby continues to be very excited and active. heart rate was 159 bpm and is not shy. the doctor always finds the heart beat right away as he's kicking!

I got that lecture many a times. Turned out to be all baby =P. You just can't help eating the bad stuff that's sooo good though! But I vow to eat healthier with the next one. The last couple of pounds are hard to loose and I don't want to carry around another bowling ball =P.

i can't believe your doc said that sue!! 6 lbs/ month is hardly anything to be worried about. you were probably underweight pre-baby, so you have some catching up to do!! by the time you get to my size, your stomach will be so squished you won't be able to eat much of anything anyway!!! it sucks. :( not to mention your bladder that's the shape of a pancake. ugh.

Tell your doc "Whatever!". I didn't watch what I ate either and exercise was a Latin word to me. Well, Matt and I did start walking in the evening during my 2nd and 3rd trimester. When you start into your 3rd trimester you are going to feel full quicker and notice it doesn't take much to make yourself full. The baby is pushing up on your belly and it is uncomfortable. Plus, it is hard to breathe. Just eat everything in moderation and go for those evening constitutionals with Steven. You will and are fine!
Talk to you soon!
